A Community Development Block Grant for neighborhood improvements on the west side and bids for the next phase of the McKenzie Avenue reconstruction were the top subjects at Mayor Richard Mavis’ weekly meeting with the Mount Vernon News on Friday.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of numerous break-ins of rental units at Mount Vernon Storage, 555 Harcourt Road.
