MOUNT VERNON — The Ohio State Highway Patrol released details of the crash involving a milk truck on Sycamore Road on Sunday.

According to the OSHP, the incident occurred Sunday about 9:50 a.m. on Sycamore Road about two-tenths of a mile east of Johnstown Road.

The vehicle was a 1996 International tractor-trailer with a tank type trailer carrying milk. The truck was driven by Ernest Ernsberger, 66, Granville. Ernsberger is listed in the report as the owner/operator of the vehicle.

The report stated that Ernsberger was traveling east on Sycamore Road when the vehicle went off the right side of the road. He overcorrected, crossed the center line, went off the left side of the road into a ditch and overturned. Ernsberger was cited with failure to maintain reasonable control. The vehicle was righted by Blubaugh Towing.

Ernsberger suffered minor injuries and was not transported. COJFD was at the scene but was not needed. There was no spillage of fuel or milk.
