Highland High School will celebrate is 50th annual fall Homecoming ceremony on Friday, with the ceremony beginning at 6:25 p.m., just prior to the football game against Elgin. This year’s court members are freshman attendant Lexi Winkelfoos (bottom); sophomore attendant Hannah Prokopchak (middle right); junior attendant Eleni Connors (middle left); and senior queen candidates (top row from left) Megan Davis, Laura Margraff and Sierra Miller. The retiring queen from 2010 is Abby Keen. In addition to the ceremony, there will be fireworks immediately following the football game. A community pep rally and bonfire will take place on Wednesday at the high school beginning at 6 p.m., weather permitting. The Kiwanis Club thanked local media outlets for their continued coverage and support of the club during its weekly meeting on Monday.
