MOUNT VERNON — The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced a bridge replacement project on U.S. 36/Ohio 3 over Painter Creek, east of Sunbury between Condit Road and Old 3C Road.
ODOT District 6 Public Information Officer Nancy Burton said that U.S. 36/Ohio 3 south of Centerburg was closed Wednesday for approximately 30 days during the bridge replacement. The posted detour will flow traffic onto Ohio 314, Ohio 656 and Ohio 61.
Ohio 229 was recently closed for a bridge replacement at Ohio 314 near Sparta but has now reopened, according to Burton.
