MILLWOOD — Knox County’s commissioners went on the road Monday to see where American Electric Power wants to run a power line along the same right of way that the Millwood sewer project will take across the Mark and Carol Gilmore property at Kokosing Valley Camp and Canoe.

The commissioners and AEP representatives met with the Gilmores despite the rain Monday, but since everything could been seen from the Gilmore’s garage, the weather presented no problem.

Commissioner Teresa Bemiller explained that the Millwood sewer will come down U.S. 36, pick up the discharge from the Drexel J. Thrash Labor Training Center, then cross the Gilmore property to reach a lift station in the woods east of the campground.

“We just came out to see where AEP is talking about placing their line,” Bemiller said.
