MOUNT VERNON —John Francis, a candidate for Mount Vernon City Council’s Second Ward is a valid candidate for the November election, said Kim Horn, director of the Knox County Board of Elections.
Documents downloaded by the News from the BOE’s website did not list Francis as a second ward candidate resulting in his exclusion from Saturday’s special section “The Ballot,” which provided information on candidate for the upcoming election.
Horn told the News this morning she was looking into why Francis was not listed on the website information.
