DANVILLE — Several Cedar Street residents approached the Danville Village Council on Monday with concerns about speeding vehicles on their street.

Randy Douglas and Diane Stevenson both spoke before council, asking what could be done to keep vehicles from speeding down the street. They mentioned there are many children in the neighborhood and would like to see something done.

Council discussed several ideas, including putting up a stop sign or speed bumps, as well as having the police patrol the street more often.

Police Chief Monte Vance and Village Administrator Robert Shipley will look into it and come back to council with their recommendations.
