UTICA — Bids from four solid waste haulers were read when the Utica Village Council met Monday evening at Utica town hall.
Those bids submitted with their basic residential monthly fee were Big O Refuse at $12.95, Waste Management at $12.91, Rumpke at $12.25 and Allied Waste at $13.98. Numerous options including fuel surcharges and recycling were included from the four haulers. Sarah Light, village solicitor, will review the bids and prepare a spreadsheet for council to compare. Awarding of a bid will be announced at the Nov. 14 council meeting.
Mayor Larry Friesel announced that only one bid was submitted from the village’s advertisement for solicitor services for 2012 and 2013. That bid came from Hite and Heath Attorneys, which employs Light.
