MOUNT VERNON — Electrical aggregation will be the main topic of two public hearing sessions before the Mount Vernon City Council meeting Monday, Mayor Richard Mavis said.

In response to council having given first reading to a resolution adding Mount Vernon’s name to the list of cities asking the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio to reject a request by American Electric Power to limit the number of customers who can switch providers in a given year, AEP regional representative Paul Prater will be here to explain why AEP is seeking the restriction.
