MANSFIELD — A permit to pump wastewater used in hydraulic fracking into two wells has been applied for and granted to Preferred Fluid Management by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The company is headquartered in Austin Texas.

According to ODNR, no drilling has taken place on the wells located in Richland County. Preferred Fluid Management had previously applied for two permits for wells in Huron County. Those wells were never drilled and Preferred Fluids Management has withdrawn those permits.
