MOUNT VERNON — What happens if disaster strikes Knox County and county operations have to suddenly move to another location? Maybe a tornado rips through the city, a gas explosion destroys the county office building or a terrorist strikes that building?

Then the county needs a plan in place to keep operating.

Knox County Emergency Management Director Brian Hess and Emily Marth, Safety and Loss Control coordinator for the county, presented the essence of the plan they have developed to the Knox County Commissioners, Monday afternoon.
