I-beams that will brace the north wall of the Buchwald Center are being welded to brackets bolted into the wall. The wall was against the old Kresge building that burned last fall and needed to be stabilized. The beams will go 8 feet undergound and be covered with cement to keep the brick wall secure. Panels with a white brick pattern will go over the beams to match the rest of the building. (Photo by Virgil Shipley)
