MOUNT VERNON — Community members are invited to join the Dogwood Blossoms women’s barbershop chorus on a stroll down memory lane on Saturday as the singers celebrate 30 years as a chartered chapter of Sweet Adelines International.

Comprised of women from Knox and surrounding counties, the Dogwood Blossoms will make it evident they all like to sing. Their energetic and enthusiastic “Through the Years” performance starts at 7 p.m. in Memorial Theater, 112 E. High St.

The show, complete with choreography and costume changes, will include a variety of ’50s and ’60s selections, classic songs and chorus favorites from the past 30 years — tunes like “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” “’Deed I Do,” “Mood Indigo,” and “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

Charter members of the chorus, Linda Hulse and Barb Snow, will serve as emcees for the 30th anniversary concert, and will reminisce about the different costumes, show themes and places they have been with the chorus over the years.
