MOUNT VERNON — The theft of a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado was reported to the Mount Vernon Police Department on Friday afternoon.

Russell Drane of Mount Vernon reported that his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot at Mount Vernon Farmers Co-op at 2:40 p.m.

MVPD Captain George Hartz said the vehicle was located at 5 p.m. on South Norton Street by officer Roger Monroe with the keys in the ignition but not running. There has been no suspect identified.

The vehicle reportedly had the rear window broken. No other damage was reported. It was towed to Danny’s Auto Center and released to the owner, reported Hartz.
