MOUNT VERNON — The Coshocton Avenue area merchants and the Santa House Project, will once again this year co-sponsor the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus to the Mount Vernon Shopping Plaza on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 3 p.m.

Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for a small cost. Santa and Mrs. Claus will pass out candy to the children attending and will then walk to the Santa House, beside Kroger at the east end, to start his yearly visits with the children.

Santa’s hours for visits will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m., and special visits on Saturday’s from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Christmas. Pictures will be available on these days for a small charge.

Those who wish to help co-sponsor Santa and Mrs. Claus’ arrival by fire truck to the Santa house, whether they be an individual or merchant, donations can be sent by check to The Santa House Project, c/o Joe Gutridge, 8927 Columbus Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050; or call Gutridge at 397-8919.
