MOUNT VERNON — A Mount Vernon man was charged with falsification and probation violation after an officer with the Mount Vernon Police Department discoverd a meth lab on Nov. 7.

According to MVPD, an officer reported to 706 Follin Ave., in reference to drug activity where the officer discoverd an operational meth lab. Arrested was Jeffery A. Hill.

The meth lab was subsequently dismantled with the assistance of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Mount Vernon Fire Department.

MVPD is a member of METRICH, a multi-county drug task force.

No information was available at press time as to when Hill will appear in court.
