FREDERICKTOWN — Village Council Monday approved an emergency ordinance appropriating $105,000 for the purchase of the railroad property running through town from CSX Transportation. The property will be used for a bicycle path/walkway connecting the park on the north side to the park on the south end of town.
MOUNT VERNON — Preliminary construction work is set to begin the week of Dec. 5 on the Little Jelloway wastewater treatment plant improvement project. The Knox County Commissioners hosted a preconstruction meeting Monday with representatives from Adena Corp., general contractors for the project; ADR & Associates, engineering firm overseeing the project; local contractors Spring Electric and Small Asphalt; and county water/wastewater superintendent Ray Withers.
