A jail contract, a water meter-reading system and a city wastewater contract were the topics of discussion when Mount Vernon City Council and the Knox County Commissioners conducted their annual combined meeting Monday evening at the Knox County Service Center.
"We think 4-H is something really valuable in this county," said Knox County Commissioner Teresa Bemiller. Commissioners Roger Reed and Allan Stockberger agreed.
