A letter sent out by American Electric Power may be causing confusion for city residents who are also receiving a letter explaining how to sign up for the city's electrical aggregation program.
Schools in the area have planned programs or concerts for this holiday season.
The 2012 dog licenses went on sale Thursday and renewal notices will be mailed. Dog owners must renew dog licenses on or before Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012. There is a cost for licenses for each dog and they can be purchased at the Knox County Auditor’s Office or the Knox County Dog Shelter. For further information call the Auditor’s Office at 393-6805.
South Main Street in Mount Vernon, between Gambier Street and Vine Street, will be closed to traffic on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon. Closure is to allow placement of an HVAC unit onto the roof of the FirstMerit Bank. The city and the contractor are cooperating to minimize the time South Main Street will be closed.
