The 250-gallon cube of 50-50 antifreeze in the foreground fell off a truck Tuesday morning on the Mill Street hill in Fredericktown. The plastic container ruptured and spilled about 80 gallons of the antifreeze. A small amount ran into a storm drain and into the Kokosing River. Mill Street was closed for a time while the Fredericktown Community Fire Department collected the antifreeze with absorbent material. The driver of the truck will be charged with an unsecured load. These pilots fly for Flex-Jet, an aviation business airline based in Richardson, Texas. Pilots Pedro Luzuriaga, left and Terry Thompson flew into Knox County Airport Monday with passengers meeting with businesses in Mount Vernon. Flex-Jet aircraft flies business people into Mount Vernon at least twice a week, an airport spokesperson said. Luzuriaga has 8,000 hours of flying time with 3,500 hours in this type of jet aircraft, a seven-passenger Lear 40. Thompson is former a military and retired Delta Airlines pilot with 25,000 hours of flight time. Flex-Jet flies 85 aircraft of four different types to different destinations.
