FREDERICKTOWN — Some local grinches obviously have not caught on to what the Christmas spirit is all about.

Fredericktown Police Chief Jerry Day reported to the News that somebody stole more than $1,000 worth of Christmas lighting and decorations from the gazebo at Fredericktown public square overnight Tuesday.

The Christmas lights and decorations were all in place at the close of business on Tuesday but were missing early Wednesday morning.

Day is asking anyone with information about the missing items to please call the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 397-3333.
