Family and friends of East Elementary School students were treated to a winter sing, “Can You Hear the Bells,” on Monday afternoon. Music instructor Sarah Reyes led the students in the singing of many holiday songs in two separate performances. With kindergartners and first-graders being split between the 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. sessions, second- and fifth-grade students were featured in the morning program, and third- and fourth-graders performed in the afternoon. Shown above are third- and fourth-graders singing “Christmas Bells Ringing.” Other tunes included “Jingle Bells,” “Caroling, Caroling” and “Sleigh Bells” with the entire company singing “Song of Peace” for the finale.
