MOUNT VERNON — Judge Otho Eyster does not expect any significant change in the budget for Common Pleas Court in the coming year, he told the Knox County Commissioners on Monday.

The budget the judge submitted for 2012 calls for an appropriation of $431,700, up from $414,110 this year (which is still incomplete) and $420,683 in 2010. However, it is less than the $444,258 appropriated in 2008 and the $475,265 of 2009.

Eyster said there was an unusually low number of jury trials this year — five — and some years there is as many as 12 to 15.
