FREDERICKTOWN — Fredericktown Interchurch has $7,000 worth of toys for children in the community for Christmas due to the efforts of the Fredericktown Community Fire District.

Fire Chief Scott Mast said the department collected $5,000 in money from donations, firefighter boots in community businesses and the annual poinsettia flower sale.

There were also about $2,000 in toys that were donated. Mast said they turned over the toys and money to Interchurch last Thursday.
