MOUNT VERNON — With the desire to bring common sense back to the Statehouse, Jeff Furr has entered the race for the 68th Ohio House as a Republican.
“We need a change,” said Furr. “We need true Reagan Republicans in the Statehouse, Republicans who believe in the American way by protecting the middle class, having lower taxes and smaller government. Now is not the time for career politicians. It is time to make sure the American dream is alive for all Americans and that we are building people up, not tearing them down. It is time for a small business owner and someone who has worked in the private sector to address the state’s issues. This year I strongly think we need to elect someone who has not been part of the state government, someone with new ideas and a fresh perspective, someone who has worked in the private sector and in local government, someone who will actually know what it takes to run a business and a state, someone who will work hard to make this state great again,” stated Furr.
Jeff Furr is a local patent attorney, who is married with six children. He has proudly served his country as a member of the Ohio Army National Guard, has served as a member of a local city council and is a current member of the American Legion and the NRA. He is a member of Faith Fellowship and is a part of their youth ministry as well as a member of the Knox County Christian Home School Association.
Furr earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in computer and informational science from the College of Engineering of The Ohio State University, a Master of Business Administration Degree, a Law Degree and an Advanced Degree in Taxation from Capital University. He knows how to work with people and business to keep Ohio great.
