DANVILLE — The Danville school board on Wednesday reorganized for 2012 with Charlie Bratton being elected board president and Brent Kaylor chosen to be board vice president. Bratton will continue in the role of legislative liaison, Carolyn Addair as career center representative and Andrea Inverso as student achievement liaison.

Regular board meetings in 2012 will be held on the third Monday of each month. With the exception of the February, March, November and December meetings which will be at 5:30 p.m., the meetings will be at 7 p.m. The location will be the administrative office except in June, July and August when they will be held in the K-8 building.

Treasurer Mary Payne on Thursday said the rest of the meeting was short and to the point.

The board approved routine annual and monthly fiscal actions and routine standing authorizations and accepted the Ohio Eastern Star Home as the venue for the Danville junior/senior prom on April 28.

Superintendent Dan Harper recognized the board members for their service to the district: Addair, 20 years; Bratton, six years; Inverso, six years; Kaylor, four years; and Darrel Severns, four years.

The nest regular board meeting will be held in the administration building on Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
