MOUNT VERNON — Jason Rogers will be on the ballot in the March primary for the Ohio House of Representatives.
“I feel with my diverse background and ambition to get our state to prosper that I can represent the 68th district very well,” Rogers said.
Rogers has been married to Twila for 18 years and has three children. Their family participates in 4-H and they also enjoy raising Dexter and Low-Line Angus cattle. Rogers had the opportunity to serve in both the Ohio Army National Guard and the Ohio Air National Guard. He also supports the NRA by being a life member.
Rogers worked for the Mount Carmel Health System for 10 years in their biomedical engineering department and is now managing the biomedical engineering department for the Ohio State Health Network. The biomedical department is responsible for maintaining the patient care equipment in hospitals. It services everything from anesthesia, X-ray, ultrasound, ventilators and monitoring. Rogers was a technician for more than 10 years and have been managing for the last six.
He believes in bringing family values, integrity and a strong business sense to the Ohio House of Representatives. He believes that he is able to make the hard decisions when they have to be made and can help bring Ohio back to being one of the strongest states in the union. He firmly believes that government cannot create jobs. The government has to create an environment in this state for businesses to flourish to produce local jobs.
Rogers has been on the Centerburg school board for two years and is also the chairman of the Hilliar Township board of appeals. He is also been a member of the Centerburg Joint Recreational District and is currently the chairman for the Heart of Ohio USA Days festival in Centerburg.
