DANVILLE — Danville Village Council members heard about several items during its meeting Tuesday.

Chuck Hawk from the Regional Income Tax Agency was on hand to discuss and answer questions about the village possibly joining the agency.

RITA offers a comprehensive tax collection service, helping villages find and collect all of the income taxes due from residents and businesses.

Hawk said the company reviews the village’s ordinances, collects taxes and helps with compliance. They have payment plans and e-services. Both Centerburg and Fredericktown are already members of this agency and Danville is checking out the possibility of joining.
