CENTERBURG — Centerburg’s Village Council held its second meeting of 2012 Monday at City Hall and moved briskly through its agenda.
Mayor Diana Stockmaster began the meeting with a brief recap of major developments of 2011, most notably the formation of Centerburg Township, which will share the village’s boundaries and government. Centerburg was previously a part of Hilliar Township.
Significant progress was also reported on design and planning of a new Water Reclamation Facility, which is being done in conjunction with Bird and Bull Surveyors and Engineers of Columbus. Application was made to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency in 2011 for a $6.5 million loan in connection with that project.
