Drilling permits issued in Knox County

MOUNT VERNON -- Commissioners, engineers and township trustees from Knox and Licking counties were shocked and disappointed to learn two horizontal drilling permits were issued for Knox County wells. Most were working under the assumption that well permits were not issued until road usage agreements were signed.

Clear Fork board to place levy on August ballot

BELLVILLE -- Meeting in special session on Wednesday, the Clear Fork Valley Local Schools Board of Education passed a resolution to place a five-year, 1 percent earned income tax issue before the voters in a special election to be held Aug. 7. Board member Nick Kuelling voted against the measure.
