MOUNT VERNON — On Tuesday, the Rotary Club treated the Ohio Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program participants to a luncheon catered by The Alcove Restaurant.

The event began with a trivia question: The Rotarians in attendance being asked where the national DYW program is held. The answer is Mobile, Ala. Since it was Fat Tuesday, the Rotarians were also asked the location of the first Mardi Gras was held in the United States. The answer? Also Mobile, Ala.

The distinguished young women again answered questions designed to help the attendees get acquainted with them. Topics ranged from school and interests to career goals and personal attributes.
