MOUNT VERNON — Steve Jefferson, the engineering drafting instructor at Knox County Career Center, is back in class today.
He had been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation into threats he allegedly made at the Feb. 23 school board meeting.
The Mount Vernon Police Department has concluded its investigation into the supposed menacing incident and no charges were filed.
Asked to comment, Superintendent Bernie Pachmayer said, “I support whatever our police department is telling me. They have a tough job.”
