MOUNT VERNON — Many community members have said they plan to attend tonight’s school board meeting at the Knox County Career Center, but there are questions as to whether the assigned space in the adult education building will accommodate the expected audience.
Although KCCC board meetings have recently been held in the KCCC cafetorium, which has a minimum capacity of 430 individuals, Superintendent Bernie Pachmayer said the meeting has been moved to the adult education building because the cafetorium has been rented out to another group. The conference room in the adult education building, on the other hand, has a maximum capacity of 70.
Pachmayer told the News this morning there were no plans to move the meeting into a larger venue.
