MONROE TOWNSHIP — McDonald Road resident Rebecca Grubaugh watched as the hole on the gravel road grew bigger and bigger Thursday morning.
The band that holds two 36-inch culvert pipes together broke, causing the road to wash out as water rushed through what is a beginning tributary to Center Run.
“Every time it rains or snows it happens,” Grubaugh said of the recurring problem. “They throw in some rocks and some dirt and call it fixed.”
Grubaugh, along with fellow resident, Donna Fowler, watched as a township worker and a county worker assessed the damage, and asked Acting EMA Director Richard Dzik when the problem was going to be properly fixed.
