MOUNT VERNON — Results have been compiled from the recent community health assessment conducted by the Knox County Health Assessment Partnership which involved numerous agencies in Knox County. The partnership designed a three-pronged survey to obtain data and information on a variety of community issues as a way to identify community strengths and areas of concern.

While planning for the assessment began in 2010, surveys were started in July 2011. The assessment was conducted by generating questions broken down into three individual surveys: household, business and key informants. Results gathered in each survey provided information specific to each subgroup.
