MOUNT VERNON — Tree seedlings, bird feeders and nest boxes are among items available each year from the Knox Soil & Water Conservation District. They will remain available until April 5 or when supplies are exhausted.

For those who want to provide a wildlife habitat in their backyard, there are nest boxes for wrens, bluebirds and screech owls, as well as three-chambered bat houses. Also in stock are five-pound hanging feeders.

Bundles of seedlings available include white pine, Norway spruce, nut tree, evergreen, ornamentals, hardwood, red oak, Colorado blue spruce and butterfly bushes. Seed packets include wildflower seeds, bird and butterfly mix and hummingbird mix.

The Knox Soil & Water Conservation District office is at 1025 Harcourt Road. Call 393-6724 for more information or visit www.knoxswcd.org.
