MOUNT VERNON — Although most schools will be taking a spring break next week, science learning can still go on in a fun way through the efforts of the Science Play Initiative.

Now located at 14 S. Main St., Mount Vernon, the SPI Spot will have extended hours and activities Monday through Thursday. The Spot will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with special activities for school-age children at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. each day.
