HOWARD — The second burglary in less than a week in Howard was reported early Wednesday morning.
The report of a possible burglary in progress came in at 7:45 Wednesday morning, when an owner of Griller’s BBQ arrived for work and noticed someone tried to gain access to the restaurant.
Owner Natalie W. Mizer, Fredericktown, had arrived to open the restaurant and noticed the side door had been pried. The deputy found no entry had been gained by the side door, but the front door had been pried open.
An undetermined amount of cash was taken and one of the freezers had been left open resulting in the food in the freezer being thrown out.
The Howard Hilton was robbed overnight Sunday, with the suspect taking money and merchandise from the cigarette machine, juke box, pool league money and other cash from the establishment.
KCSO continues to investigate both incidents.
