UTICA -- Not since 1984 had there been a change in the position of police chief for the Village of Utica.
CENTERBURG -- The Centerburg school board on Monday, with board member Colby Clippinger abstaining, passed a resolution asking that steps be taken to alter the composition of the Knox County Career Center Board of Education.
UTICA -- The decision to award a bid for the village wastewater upgrade project was put on hold when Utica Village Council met Monday evening at town hall.
MOUNT VERNON -- Mount Vernon City Council mulled over a draft version of a garage sale policy during a Planning and Zoning Committee meeting Monday night.
MOUNT VERNON -- Down by three to their rival and Ohio Capital Conference title contender, the Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets faced a pitcher who happens to be the defending Division I All-Ohio Player of the Year.
DANVILLE -- East Knox Coach Kevin Gallwitz has preached to his team to be disciplined at the plate -- Making a pitcher work hard for each batter and then making the defense work hard by putting the ball in play hard.

Report of babies born at hospitals other than Knox Community Hospital must be submitted in writing. Include parents’ names, address, age, baby’s sex, and date and place of birth. If either parent is under the age of 18, the signature of a parent or guardian is necessary for each of the baby’s underage parents.
