MOUNT VERNON — There were some special guests at Wednesday’s meeting of the Knox County Educational Service Center governing board. Three community members from Mount Vernon were in attendance, as were two from the East Knox school district. Although offered the opportunity to address the board, no one did so.

Board president Richard McLarnan discussed education legislation mainly focused, at this time, on Cleveland schools, and the board briefly talked about the Centerburg school board’s resolution calling for a change in the composition of the Knox County Career Center Board of Education. It took no action related to that resolution.

The rest of the meeting was largely routine.
