MOUNT VERNON -- A gray and dreary Saturday was considerably brightened when spring fashions -- in colors from bright blue to cheery yellow to hot pink and everything in between -- blossomed at the 2012 Step into Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon held in the Dan Emmett Conference Center.
MOUNT VERNON -- A number of burglaries have been reported recently to the Mount Vernon Police Department, and police officers are monitoring the situation and asking residents to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity and report this to the police department.
MOUNT VERNON -- Life is starting to get back to normal for the Smith family. As much like normal as it can be, anyway.
MOUNT VERNON -- John Freshwater filed a request with the Supreme Court of Ohio Friday, asking the body to overturn decisions by the Knox County Court of Common Pleas and the Ohio Fifth District Court of Appeals and to examine civil liberty components that have not been previously reviewed by lower courts. The two previous courts upheld the Mount Vernon City School District's termination of Freshwater's employment as a middle school science teacher.
BOSTON -- It has been nearly a year of preparation for Megan Feasel, a Mount Vernon High School graduate who also attended East Knox High School, but it has been worth it.
