Following an executive session to discuss personnel matters, the board accepted the resignations of curriculum consultant Cynthia Stuart, effective July 31; Columbia Elementary one-on-one aide Debra Potter, effective June 5; and of speech pathologist Roseann Stypula, effective at the end of the 2011-12 school year. Stypula is resigning for retirement purposes. Linda Gibson was employed as a tutor for St. Vincent de Paul School, Kathy Belcher was approved as an auxiliary clerk for St. Vincent and M. Christian McMaken was hired as a speech and language pathologist for the 2012-13 school year. The board also increased the hourly rates for educational aides serving Clear Fork Valley schools. This was at the request of Clear Fork. Because Fredericktown schools have requested a reduction in services, the ESC board approved a reduction in force suspension of contracts for multiple disabilities teacher Ellen Frazier and classroom aide Janet Breckler, effective with the 2012-13 school year. It also granted a one-school-year leave of absence to Laura Sanders, preschool teacher at Fredericktown.

Treasurer Heather Darnold announced the Yankee Candle fundraiser has raised more than $9,000 for the preschool programs. The money will be used to defray the cost of end-of-the-year field trips and for instructional supplies for next year.
