MOUNT VERNON — A new home is now in place for Preventive Maintenance Medical Services Inc. Owners Todd and Sharon Fitzpatrick recently moved their business from 12059 Tucker Road to 307 Harcourt Road.
An open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Friday afternoon to kick off business at the new location and to welcome visitors while providing refreshments. Numerous business leaders from the community were in attendance at the ceremony.
In business since 1997, PM Medical sells and services medical equipment and sterilizers for hospitals and surgical centers all across Ohio. Major items covered within the business are sterilizers, disinfecters, warming cabinets and scrub sinks.
“I worked with a large company many years ago and broke off. Sharon and I then started PM Medical, through a lot of people’s wise counsel. Everyone knows you cannot do this alone,” said Todd Fitzpatrick. “It’s just been steady growth for us over the years.” Fitzpatrick gave credit to his sales manager John Hubbard for success the business has experienced thus far.
“These are the things we love to do,” said Carol Grubaugh, director of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, in addressing those who attended the open house ceremony on Friday. “They renovated this building in six weeks, so we could learn a lot from them,” she said, inviting all visitors to tour the newly-renovated business and enjoy some refreshments. “This is a beautiful building, and this location should give them much more visibility.”
