MOUNT VERNON — Vickie A. Sant, president of First-Knox National Bank announced the promotion of three associates to assistant vice president. They are Mark D. Blanchard, Phyllis D. Colopy, and James S. Meyer.

“Mark, Phyllis, and Jim are great examples of our outstanding associates who strive every day to provide the best customer service possible. They know what it means to be a community banker,” Sant said.

Blanchard spent nearly 20 years in the financial services industry before beginning his career with First-Knox in 2004, where he is the Fredericktown Office manager.

He is a graduate of Madison High School in Mansfield and obtained his associate’s degree in business from the Mansfield Business College. He is also a graduate of Leadership Knox.

Blanchard is active in the community serving as treasurer for Fredericktown Community Development Foundation, a board member for United Way of Knox County and Children’s Connection, and on the scholarship committee for the Fredericktown Area Development Foundation. He is chaplain for Masonic Thrall Lodge 170, an elder for the Fredericktown First Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, Ohio Eastern Star, and Wayne Grange.

He and his wife, Sheri, reside in Fredericktown. They have three grown sons: Nicholas, Michael, and Mark Jr.

Colopy joined the bank in 1994. She has served as a teller and customer service representative at both the Main and Coshocton Avenue Offices. She became a customer service representative in 1999 at the Danville Office. She was promoted to assistant manager at the Danville Office in 2000. She was promoted to Danville Office manager and administrative officer in 2002. She was named a banking officer in 2003.

She is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and has completed multiple banking schools and courses during her career.

Colopy serves as treasurer of the 4-H Center and Danville PTO. She is a member of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce.

Colopy resides in Howard with her husband, Dennis and children, Bryce and Shelby.

Meyer joined First-Knox in 1999 as a management associate. He has served as a teller and worked in the mortgage loan, collections, card services, internet banking departments, and manager of the Centerburg and Main offices. He was named regional office manager over the Mount Vernon offices in 2007.

A graduate of Mount Vernon High School, he attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University and holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from University of Cincinnati. He is also a graduate of Leadership Knox.

Meyer is secretary of the Mount Vernon Parking Co. He is head coach for Mount Vernon Baseball Association 11–12 year olds, and an assistant coach for Mount Vernon Baseball Association 5-6 year olds. He is a member of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce.

He lives in Mount Vernon with his wife, Stefanie, and their three children, Logan, Peyton, and Zoe.
