NEWARK — A Nashport man entered a not guilty plea Tuesday after allegedly robbing a skilled game parlor in Utica on May 10.
Anthony Knox, 32, appeared for arraignment and entered a written plea of not guilty in the Licking County Court of Common Pleas on Tuesday.
Licking County Prosecutor Kenneth Oswalt told the News that Knox was arrested through a joint effort by the Utica Police Department and the Licking County Sheriff’s Office. While a second robbery incidence occurred at The Loft in St. Louisville the same evening, a tip from family members alerted law enforcement to the whereabouts of Knox and a second suspect who were then seen on surveillance video at Walmart purchasing a handgun.
Knox was charged with two counts of robbery. Knox’s case has been assigned to a judge, and a pre-trial conference is forthcoming.
The second suspect is expected to be charged.
