MOUNT GILEAD — The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported armed robbery.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:09 a.m. on Monday at the Apple Pie Inn General Store at 7398 U.S. 42 in Perry Township in northeast Morrow County.

The witness told deputies from the MCSO that a male subject entered the store, brandished a firearm and demanded money. Once receiving an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled on foot north from the store.

The suspect is described as a younger white male, blue or green eyes and is approximately 6 feet tall. He was wearing hemmed blue jean shorts, a gray sweatshirt and a black ski mask.
