FREDERICKTOWN — The Fredericktown school board on Tuesday ratified agreements with both the teachers’ association and the classified workers’ association that continue the freeze on base salaries. Salaries and benefits will remain the same for the 2012-13 school year as for the 2011-12 school year, with the exception of advances on the salary schedule due to experience and/or additional training.
Treasurer Pat Miller told the News on Wednesday the rest of the meeting was “short and sweet.”
Regarding personnel, the board called back intervention specialist Serena McCoy from the reduction in force, hired Michelle Busse as a second-grade elementary teacher and Nate Short as a middle/high school math teacher, all for the 2012-13 school year. Jordan Kramer was employed as a study hall monitor, Marilyn Rutherford was issued a supplemental contract to serve as JV volleyball coach and Lori Briegel will be the freshman volleyball coach. Karen Mortimer and Melissa Chattin were added to the classified substitute list.
