Motorists like this one are struggling to get the hang of the changes in traffic flow along Vernonview Drive and Coshocton Avenue. New traffic berms along the two roads, like this one coming out of the Big Lots parking lot that won’t allow drivers to turn left onto Vernonview Drive, are being built to help ease the traffic flow in the area.

Motorists to experience changes on Coshocton Avenue

Changes in traffic patterns are in store for area motorists once the construction projects on Coshocton Avenue are complete this fall.

“I think the construction people are doing a good job. As long as you obey the traffic signs and rules, everything is going pretty smoothly. Can’t wait until it’s done.”

“I guess it is all right. I don’t come to town very often.”

Belinda Hughes, Utica

“It looks like it’s going to be for the best.”

Don Testa, Fredericktown

“It’s pretty confusing, especially with the center island [exiting the parking lot onto Vernonview] the same color. I can envision people running into them.”

Dan Kelley, Mount Vernon

“I don’t like it. I think it’s dangerous because of people cutting in and things.”

Cathy Armstrong, Mount Vernon

“It’s a great idea. My only concern is the new entrance and exit [from Vernonview] to the Kroger parking lot. It’s pretty confusing because the signs aren’t real clear on where to turn. There’s a lot of traffic jams because of it.”

Andrea Sawicki, Apple Valley
