MOUNT VERNON —Wednesday continues to be a real crowd pleaser at the Knox County Fair. Attendance records show 33,000 people meandered through the Knox Count Fairgrounds on Wednesday taking in the Junior Fair events, rides, entertainment, games, food and the ever-popular Rough Truck contest.
This year’s numbers fell short of 2011’s record-breaking crowd of over 35,000.
Sunday’s crowd totaled 24,800. Attendance on Monday dropped to 19,300 and fell further on Tuesday to 14,900. A mere 9,500 people attended on Thursday.
