MOUNT VERNON — Two new businesses to the area offer a fresh look on life from two different facets.

New aesthetic skin care services are now available at Physical Therapy Services of Mount Vernon, 1220 Yauger Road. Those looking for chemical peels or Botox injections can receive these services from certified practitioners Angie Ferrell and Leslie Bright. Ferrell said that chemical peels for the face, neck and chest can be administered as light peels or medium peels.

Obagi skin care products are also available on a prescription-basis only. Additional services including varicose vein treatment are expected to be offered in the future. For more information or an appointment, call 392-1171.

A quiet, secluded retreat awaits those looking for a tranquil getaway at The Sanctuary at Wild Rose Acres. Located five miles south of Mount Vernon off Ohio 13, Wild Rose is an exclusive bed and breakfast inn and stables which allows visitors to get away from the clamor of the city in a quiet, pastoral setting.

Officially opened on July 20 and owned by Marion Brill, Wild Rose bed and breakfast offers luxurious rooms with beautiful views of a pond, gardens and spacious fields. Rooms are furnished with king-size beds, spa tubs and many convenient amenities including wireless Internet, microwave, refrigerator and a large selection of books and DVDs.

“It’s a fabulous setting; I just wanted to share this setting with others to experience,” said Brill about her venturing into her new business.

Overnight, weekly and monthly accommodations are also available for your horses. As many as 17 large matted stalls are available as well as a riding arena and an outdoor grass paddock. The horses are gentle, and some have been on site since Brill moved to the property in 1973.

Soothing Rekei and Craniosacral physical therapy sessions are also offered for guests and their horses.
